Lorry drivers (HGV) and bus drivers (PCV) require a D4 medical on their first application. Thereafter, they will require a new medical every 5 years after the age of 45, and annually after the age of 65.
The cost of a HGV/LGV, PCV medical is only £45.
To apply for a new Group 2 licence or to renew an existing licence you must get a DVLA D4 Medical examination report completed by a GMC registered doctor. This is to make sure the health and safety of the driver and also make DVLA aware of any medical conditions you may have. We provide low cost DVLA D4 medicals including an eye test if required.
